VOWACGhana is a non partisan non-profit organisation which advocate for the fullest realisation and enjoyment of fundamental human rights and inclusion of women and children with disabilities and caregivers of children with disabilities in Ghana. It was established in 2020 to address the exclusion gaps among the above mentioned categories of people.

What we do
- Provide services to improve and empower women and children with disabilities in Ghana.
- Conduct research into systemic developmental issues affecting women and children with disabilities.
- Fight against gender-based violence, child abuse, and any other dehumanising practices.
- Initiate and make inputs to legislations, policies and programmes that promote the best interest of children and women with disabilities and caregivers.
- Contribute to achieving goals that have global or local commitments.
Objectives
- To empower women and children with disabilities and caregivers economically, politically, educationally, socially and offer counselling services.
- To promote, defend and advocate for the fullest realisation and enjoyment of the fundamental human rights and wellbeing of every child and
woman with disability in Ghana. - To react and speak on violence, harmful cultural and social practices against women and children with disabilities in Ghana.
- To rebuild lives, restore dignity, respect and hope among caregivers of
children with disabilities, women and children with disabilities in Ghana. - To develop specifc programmes and initiatives to reduce stigmatization, discrimination, poverty, among others confronting caregivers of
children with disabilities and women with disabilities in Ghana.
